SECCAP Documents Required: The Complete Admission Checklist
Why Documents Cause Most Admission Delays
Most SECCAP admission problems are not caused by low marks. They are caused by documents: a missing mark sheet, a name spelled differently on two documents, a blurry scan, or a certificate left at home on the day of verification. Preparing your documents early is the easiest way to make your admission smooth.
This checklist explains what to keep ready, why each document matters, and how to organise everything before you apply or visit a college.
Your Core Documents
Matric or SSC Result Card and Certificate
Your matric result card is the foundation of your application. It proves your marks, board, roll number, and year of passing. Keep both the original and several clear photocopies. If your certificate has not been issued yet, the result card is usually what the system and the college will ask for first. Check that your name, your father’s name, and your roll number match your other documents exactly.
Class 9 Academic Record, Where Requested
Some colleges or application forms ask for your Class 9 record as well, because it shows your earlier academic progress. Keep it with your matric documents even if it is not asked for at the first stage. It is much easier to have it ready than to search for it under a deadline.
CNIC or B-Form
Your B-Form (for students under 18) or CNIC is your identity proof. The name and number on it must match your academic documents. If there is a spelling difference between your B-Form and your result card, get it corrected through the proper authority as early as possible. Do not wait until admission week to discover the mismatch.
Parent or Guardian CNIC, Where Required
Some forms ask for a parent or guardian CNIC as well. Keep a clear copy ready, and make sure the name matches the guardian name you enter on the form.
Domicile and PRC, Where Applicable
Domicile and Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) documents matter where residence or quota rules apply. Not every student needs them in the same way, so check the current official instructions for your category. If you need them, apply early, because issuing these documents can take time.
Recent Photographs
Keep several recent passport-size photographs, both printed and as a clear digital file. The photograph should show your face clearly, with a plain background. A blurry or old photograph can cause problems during verification, especially for ID cards.
Character Certificate, Where Required
Some colleges ask for a character certificate from your last school. If your school issues one, keep the original safe. If you are unsure whether your college needs it, keep it ready anyway. An extra document in your folder costs nothing; a missing one can cost you a day.
Equivalence Certificate for O-Level Students
Students with O-Level qualifications usually need an equivalence certificate that converts their grades into the local matric system. This is one of the most time-sensitive documents, because equivalence processing can take weeks. O-Level students should start this process well before the last date for applications.
Quota and Category Documents, Where Applicable
If you are applying under a special category or quota, keep the supporting documents for that category ready. Claims made without supporting evidence are much harder to resolve later.
How to Organise Your Documents
Use one folder for originals and one for photocopies. Keep a separate digital folder with clear scans or photographs of each document. Name each file clearly, for example “Matric-Result-Card” or “B-Form”. Before you submit anything online, check every scan: is the text readable, are the edges visible, and is the file the right way up?
When you fill in the online form, keep your originals beside you. Do not enter names, roll numbers, or dates from memory. Copy them directly from the documents.
Mistakes That Cause Delays
Entering a wrong roll number or passing year is the most common mistake. Using a nickname instead of the name on your result card is another. Uploading a blurry photograph, submitting an incomplete form, and losing your application number are also common. Each of these is avoidable with a few minutes of checking.
What to Carry on Verification Day
On the day you visit a college for verification, carry your originals, photocopies, photographs, your allotment proof, and your application number. Keep a pen and a small notebook as well, so you can write down any instruction the college gives you. After verification, keep your fee receipt and admission proof in the same folder.
